The Academy of Nation Music Awards tackled Morgan Wallen‘s current actions.
Whereas presenting on the 2024 ACM Awards in Dallas Might 16, Noah Reid and Ashley McBryde joked about the “Final Evening” singer one month after he was arrested on reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct fees for allegedly throwing a chair off the roof of Chief’s Bar in Nashville. “Final night time after some alcohol, a chair proper over there actually began to piss me off,” Noah sang throughout a bit on stage. “It advised me that I threw it at someone I by no means met and my publicist retains telling me this ain’t over but.”
Ashley quipped, “It is best to smile within the mugshot.”
Morgan—who did not attend the present—was booked by the Metropolitan Nashville Police division again in April. Two weeks later, the 31-year-old addressed the April 7 incident, sharing that he was accepting full accountability for his actions.
“I did not really feel proper publicly checking in till I made amends with some people,” Morgan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) April 19. “I’ve touched base with Nashville legislation enforcement, my household, and the nice individuals at Chief’s. I am not pleased with my conduct, and I settle for accountability.”
