Democracy Dies in Darkness

By Allison Robicelli

A recipe for an ice cream float is a formality — its measurements meant as a safety net so that even the most nervous may let their imaginations run wild. It’s nearly impossible to get this wrong; you can make it with any soda you care to, and any scoopable frozen dessert in any flavor.

Servings: 1 (makes 1 ice cream float)

Directions

  1. Step 1

Gently pour the soda into a pint glass. Carefully slide the ice cream to “float” on top; add a straw and serve immediately.
