The CoE calls for nominations for the Youth Legacy Excellence Awards to honour deserving youth for their innovation and outstanding career or community work.
The nominations close on July 12. One can submit their nominations on a form available on www.hackathon.ekurhuleni.gov.za
The nominees should meet these criteria:
• Be anEkurhuleni resident aged between 18 and 35 by the end of June 2024.
• Not be an employee or immediate family member of CoE employees.
• Must have demonstrated a vision for the future in their career, workspace, or community.
• A nominee’s vision has tangible outcomes with a proven track record.
• Can provide examples of the impact of projects listed as part of the motivation for nomination.
• The submission/application must demonstrate how the vision promotes innovation while ensuring no one is left behind.
• Not having previously received similar awards by the CoE, such as the 100 Ekurhuleni Shining Stars award.
The award ceremony will be on July 25.
