Kwa-Thema – U11 coach Steven Jempe said his team would soon participate in the Nomndayi Junior League, and their struggle is still around sporting equipment.

“The league caters for junior players, but my main struggle is that my players do not have the proper gear to practice and participate.

“We need proper boots, soccer jerseys, bibs, balls, cones and transportation fees for attending league games.

“The teams (U13, U11 and U15) must constantly share uniforms. We seek donations or sponsorship from the public and business owners.

“We want to attend the upcoming league and aim for a win, but we do not have the necessities. My team is determined to succeed, and my drive is to keep the fire burning,” he said.

Jempe said his players are excited for the upcoming league and hope for a miracle.

“We have been doing great in the current league, and my greatest desire is to keep these kids motivated and off the streets. They all deserve a good sports journey,” said Jempe.

The team coach wants to inspire his junior players to dream big and excel in soccer.
