One bride is inspiring TikTok thanks to her reaction to getting left at the altar.
Rachel Siegel went viral on Oct. 8 when she shared a video of herself in her Safiyaa wedding dress and cape, telling the camera, “My name’s Rachel Siegel and my fiancé just left me at the altar.”
The bride’s positive outlook on the upsetting situation and her willingness to continue to celebrate with her friends and family has inspired her more than 200,000 followers in the wake of her failed nuptials.
Siegel, a professional dancer, subsequently shared videos of herself and her bridal party singing on a trolley meant to transport the group to the reception. And she shared insight into how she and her loved ones still found joy in the day as she posted a touching video of herself and her mom dancing to Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” at her would-be reception.
“I’m really surprised and honored to have all of you here with me and share in my story,” Siegel said in a video after her initial left at the altar video received more than 40 million views. “I’m not ready to talk about it yet, but when I’m ready to share more, I’ll be here with you all.”
