Amanda Knox‘s authorized journey has reached a brand new verdict.
Almost 17 years after Knox was first accused of her roommate Meredith Kercher‘s homicide in 2007—of which she was convicted and later acquitted—on June 5 an Italian courtroom has upheld her 2009 conviction of slander towards Patrick Lumumba, who Knox falsely accused of the homicide whereas underneath intense interrogation.
Along with her new conviction, the 36-year-old has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment—none of which she is going to function she already served the size of the unique slander conviction’s sentencing throughout her 4 years in detention following her wrongful conviction of Kercher’s homicide.
