Duduza – Tshidiso ‘Swing‘ Mofokeng (22) is a hip-hop artist who gained a love for the genre through his older brother, Joseph Mofokeng.
“My brother, Joseph, listened to music daily. I gained interest and began liking the genre. I then started making my music in high school but fully started recording my first verse in 2020.
“I have worked with several artists like BrainsoKay, S.C.R, FiiEND, Taury and Coobi Blacs, and aspire to work with many more locally and internationally, especially Robot Boii,” said Tshidiso.
Tshidiso said he looks up to Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas, Boii, Young CEO and new to the list, the Pitori (Pretoria) rapper Mochen.
“I was recently featured by Fiiend and Icey Gvng on a song, Lunatikz, already on all digital platforms. I am working on an extended project in an EP form titled 2point0h, dedicated to my late cousin, Sandile Mkhondwane, which will drop in June.
“I have dedicated a song to my late cousin because he played a big role in my life. He always told me to be myself and do what I love, so I chose to listen to his kind words. The EP is based on my memories shared with my cousin,” said Tshidiso.
He added that he aspires to be great and wants people to vibe with the music he creates.
“My music is for people to have a good time, jump around, say my signature line ‘Swing’ and have fun. Above everything, my music has helped me grow in a way I never thought I would. I get to learn things daily,” he concluded.
