DDG Defends Halle Bailey After Her Social Media Posts
Previously, TSR reported that Halle initially called out DDG for appearing on the livestream with their baby. Now, DDG isn’t holding back on anyone coming for Halle. In clips TSR posted, he made it clear that he won’t tolerate anyone disrespecting her and shared that he’s doing his best to support Halle, especially since she may still be adjusting after giving birth.
“One thing I don’t like when people do, I don’t like when people [hate] on Halle. I don’t care if people think she wrong or not, or I think she wrong or right. She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man,” DDG says in the clip.
The rapper added that when things come up between them, he tries to handle it with grace. “So when situations like this happen, I try to handle it with as much grace as possible because Halo needs her. I need her. We need each other to create a childhood that’s safe and memorable and fun for him,” he continued.
Furthermore, DDG also shared that Halo is his biggest blessing and that he’ll always have love for Halle as she brought their son into his life.
“Halo is the biggest blessing in my life. And I don’t remember what life was like before Halo. And I wouldn’t have him if it wasn’t for Halle. And for that reason alone, I have unconditional love and respect for her, that nobody can really change,” DDG said.
Additionally, DDG opened up about where things stand with Halle, saying they’re both navigating through some new changes.
“We’re going through a very different transition right now. We only been parents for 10 months. Now, we going through like a little [breakup] whatever. Y’all gotta understand that we going through something that’s a little hard for us. So, when little stuff like this happens it’s really nothing. People go through stuff like this all the time.”
He also called out people for always trying to stir up drama between them and made it clear he wanted folks to stop coming for Halle.
“I just don’t appreciate when people try to put me against her or it’s like me vs. her. Y’all can hate on me for as long as y’all want but leave Halle alone man.”

On Wednesday, November 6, Halle took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent her frustration with DDG after he appeared on Kai Cenat’s livestream with their son, Halo. Per TSR, Kai’s stream hit 200,000 viewers. In a now-deleted post, Halle appeared upset about Halo being on such a huge platform and mentioned that she hadn’t been informed about his whereabouts.
“hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. i wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. i am his mother and his protector and saddened that i wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town,” Halle wrote.
On X, ‘The Little Mermaid’ actress shared her thoughts about wanting her boundaries respected as she navigates postpartum.
“as a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that i wish to be respected. nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap.”
However, on Thursday, Nov. 7, Halle posted on X again, saying she might’ve overreacted and should’ve kept her feelings off the internet. She didn’t specifically mention DDG in any of her posts, but they both thanked Kai Cenat for the gifts he gave Halo during the livestream.
“yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. i know that halo is always safe with his dad. i just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. thank u kai for the gifts for halo “
