Langaville – Ayakhula Ndita, aka DJ Million (Sgidi), gives his audience a variety of sounds by delving into different genres and bringing ecstatic, joyful moments.

Born and raised in Ekurhuleni, he always loved music.

He said he started singing at political conferences as a young boy because his father was a politician and he would take him to his meetings.

“In 2018, a lot of house artists inspired me, which made me come back to the music scene.

“I started taking my craft seriously,“ he explained.

He started producing his own songs and exploring his sound, experimenting with sgija, deep house, commercial piano and afropiano. He called it the exclusive sound genre.

“Then in 2019, in Grade Nine, I was in demand. I was getting bookings around the area, performing at weddings, local parties and taverns, connecting with his fans face to face and leaving a lasting impression.

“That made me popular at school and where I lived,” he added.

Collaboration is another way he has gained exposure. He featured on the Busta 929 thupa compilation album, on the track Akusale Abasalayo.

“That feature gave me a lot of exposure, and I caught the attention of the big local events.

“I eventually got to share the stage with Marumba Pitch and Babalwa M, to name a few,“ he said.

He has collaborated with Somculo Omnandi, ZWESH, Banza, Kamto from the 2KULTURE and NaCo.

DJ Million also has an NPO called The Back to School Program.

The DJ gives back to his community by donating school supplies and helping to cover school books.

“It aims to give stationery and school uniforms to disadvantaged school kids in the community.

“I started the organisation in 2023,” he explained.

He has been working on a project that is close to his heart for about a year now. It will be available on all digital platforms soon.

DJ Million’s aim in the music scene is to dominate the international stage and audience with his unique South African sound, as these cultural elements add a refreshing twist to the global music scene.
