Tsakani – Ingqayizele Sports Management extended their gratitude to the Mphahlele L Foundation Premier Cup Challenge for allowing them to invest in their masters league as a way of giving back to the community.

The final cup challenge game between Ext 8 and TT Masters was on October 6 at Malandela Ground in Tsakani.

“We also thank the teams that participated in the cup challenge as they showed their competitive edge from the word go.

“The final lived up to the expectations as both teams were in the same group during the group stages and played to an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Ext 22 ground,” said the founder of Ingqayizele Sports Management and Masters League, Votile Jack.

The final first half saw both teams being cautious as they tried to create gaps.

“The second half was an open game as they attacked each other nonstop until Ext 8 scored their opener and tried to control the game’s pace, but TT Masters kept upbeat until they equalised.

“The crowd thought the game would end in penalties, but instead Ext 8 scored again taking the lead,” he added.

He said in the last two minutes of the game, Ext 8 got a chance in their break attack to score another goal, which led the game to penalties.

“Their goalkeeper saved the first penalty from TT Masters. This led to Ext 8 winning the game with a score of 5-3.

“By winning the trophy and medals, the champions will keep the trophy permanently and also qualify for the 2025 league Champ of Champs,” Jack said.

He added they appreciated the spectators who witnessed the great football displayed by the two legendary teams.

“We will resume our league programme this coming week as it will end in November,” he concluded.
