Duduza – Rapper Sthembiso ‘Sim Cruz’ Siboyana (24) from Duduza started his musical journey in high school after his friend helped him write lyrics. On his journey of self-discovery in music, he listened to artists like Lil Wayne and Eminem.

“I easily fell in love with music, and along the way, I was inspired by NF, Hopsin, Emtee and Flvme. That is when I started doing my music in the hip-hop genre,” he said.

Siboyana said his background played a huge role in his music choices and lyrics, saying his struggles growing up turned him into the person he is now.

“I faced tough situations growing up, like going to bed on an empty stomach, going a week without food at home. I would go to school hungry without shoes.

“On the other hand, I was never treated like other children at home. My guardians would tell me I would not succeed in life and might not finish school,” he added.

Siboyana said music helped him heal and find motivation when he least expected it, mentioning that he makes music to heal other broken people who need encouragement and love.

“My mission is to produce as much music as possible and touch as many lives because I know there are people who went through what I faced. I know individuals need inspiration, and I can provide that through my music,” he mentioned.

Siboyana recently produced three projects, Young And Ready, Guap Melodies and Vision Count, all available on streaming platforms.

He is working on a new project, Duties, about uplifting those needing heartening. Siboyana aspires to work with Kwesta, Touchline, Flvme, Emtee and Jay Jody.

Sthembiso Siboyana started making music when he was in high school.
