Tsakani – Melikhaya Mtshotwana (30), popularly known as ‘Jaykha’, was driven into the music industry by his love and passion for music.

He is a versatile artist who started making music when in high school, around 2008 and 2009. He has worked with several artists, some on musical collaborations and others in clothing.

“I’ve worked with Blaklez, PdotO, NVeigh, Jay Jody, A-Reece, Red Button, Chymamusiq and Oupa Manyisa, just to name a few.

“I have a new single out, Khal’uMzonkonko, and worked with Gweilo. I wrote and performed the song. It’s a beautiful song and authentically South African,” he said.

He said his song has been received well by his fans, saying he aims to enforce change in communities through his music.

Mtshotwana released a song, Uzaw’tsha, which features Shimi Boi. The track is available on all streaming platforms.
