Junior and senior learners dazzle at their school pageant

Girls and boys lined up to participate in Laerskool Werda’s pageant recently. Learners and their parents filled the school’s hall for a Saturday of glitz and glamour at the Mr and Miss Werda 2024 competition.

The school’s principal, Jaco Lombard, says this is all in line with bringing fun back into education.

“School can’t just be about learning. Our ethos is to bring the fun back so they look forward to coming to school.”

The winners were announced as follows:

Junior division

Boys

Mr Werda Junior 2024 – Muhluri Ngobeni (Grade Three)

First prince – Melokuhle Magagula (Grade One)

Second pince – Nathan Mutiwadirwa (Grade One)

Girls

Miss Werda Junior 2024 – Lihle Nobula (Grade Three)

First pincess – Nkazimulo Kale (Grade Two)

Second princess – Itumeleng Maja (Grade Two)

Senior division

Boys

Mr Werda Senior 2024 – Njabulo Nkosi (Grade Seven)

First prince – Siphiwe Dhlamini (Grade Seven)

Second prince – Tshepo Mazibuko (Grade Seven)

Miss Werda Senior 2024 – Nicole Moloi (Grade Seven)

First princess – Kunashe Makore (Grade Four)

Second princess – Bokatweng Tsikang (Grade Seven).
