Kwa-Thema – The U15 soccer league games continued at the Sports Complex on July 27. The game started on a good note for Kgotso Stars when they scored the first goal in the game’s first few minutes.

The coach, Walter Phahlane, was thrilled and excited, saying his team was determined and wanted to win.

Kwa-Thema Flames coach Paseka Nxaxo was fairly pleased with his team’s performance in the first half.

“There are a few things I need to focus on during training. My middlefield players are not as focused as I want, but that is fixable.

“My goalkeeper needs a bit more polishing. He is new to the team and has the potential to do wonders. He is my main focus at this point, and I believe he can do better going forward,” said Nxaxo.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw. Phahlane said he did not expect the last two goals from his opposition but was happy with how the game ended.

“Even though I did not have enough players, we managed to play a beautiful game. My team is doing great so far, and our only aim is to better ourselves and our skills for the upcoming games,” Phahlane said.

He added that his team needs new players willing to join them.

“We also need sporting gear, balls, cones and other essential items for practice. We want to be well equipped for all our games, and the best way to boost our confidence is by having all the necessary gear and equipment that we need,” he added.

Overall, the two teams were pleased with the turnout, and both coaches cited their focus areas during practice.
