Tsakani – Ishmael ‘Mawesh’ Masemola has been nominated for the Limpopo Emerging Artist Awards.
The recording artist, producer, and songwriter, Mawesh, has been nominated in the Best Artist of the Year category.
The musician from Ext 19, said the nomination came after the release of his amapiano single Jehovah Lefika, featuring Dj Kopza and Magola .
“I only released two singles this year, Jehovah Lefika, a gospel song about praising God and being grateful for his mercy, and My Way or the Highway, a hip-hop single.
“This is my first rap song after the release of my album Better Than Before in 2018. Since then, I never released new hip-hop music for personal reasons. I am ever so joyous, because of the positive feedback and the support from my fans,” he said.
