The golf world is in mourning.
Two-time PGA Tour winner Grayson Murray died March 25. He was 30.
“We had been devastated to be taught—and are heartbroken to share—that PGA TOUR participant Grayson Murray handed away this morning,” PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan stated in a press release. “I’m perplexed.”
He continued, “The PGA TOUR is a household, and once you lose a member of your loved ones, you’re by no means the identical. We mourn Grayson and pray for consolation for his family members.”
The reason for Murray’s loss of life was not launched. The athlete died in the future after he withdrew from the second spherical Charles Schwab Cup Problem on the Colonial Nation Membership in Fort Value, Tex., in line with a number of stories.
The match will proceed, per the needs of Murray’s household, the commissioner stated.
“I reached out to Grayson’s mother and father to supply our deepest condolences, and through that dialog, they requested that we proceed with match play,” Monahan stated in his assertion. “They had been adamant that Grayson would need us to take action. As tough as it will likely be, we need to respect their needs.”
