Speaking at the recent District Developmental Model Pre-Presidential Imbizo in Ekurhuleni, Public Works and Infrastructure deputy minister Sihle Zikalala said that to guarantee community development is continuously and actively pursued, all branches of government must collaborate with local communities.
“It is good to attend imbizos, but it is critical to have councillors work with people in their respective wards.
“It is also important to have members of parliament work with people in their constituencies and ministers, deputy ministers and MECs work with people to support the districts and metros,” Zikalala said.
The Presidential Imbizo will begin at 09:00.
