Rand Water finishes maintenance, systems recovering

Rand Water has completed its bulk maintenance work. However, the affected areas are still without water because the work resulted in a significant deficit of water supply to the city’s water network.

Complete recovery of the water systems is anticipated to take up to two weeks because the reservoirs in the affected areas are empty. Residents are encouraged to use water sparingly to allow the system to recover.

The city continues to provide water tankers to customers in these areas to mitigate the situation:

• Clayville;
• Daveyton;
• Dawn Park;
• Duduza;
• Dunnotar;
• Etwatwa;
• KwaThema;
• Modder East;
• Pambrink;
• Persida;
• Rietfontein;
• Salies;
• Selcourt;
• Sharon Park;
• Vosloorus;

The city will communicate updates on its digital platforms.
