A 35-year-old man was shot outside the Ethandweni Pharmacy on the corner of Thema Road and Majola Street on Thursday morning.
According to spokesperson Constable Nkululeko Maguduela of the Kwa-Thema SAPS, the man was about to open the doors to the business when another man fired multiple shots at him.
“The deceased sustained an injury to the head, which led to his demise,” said Maguduela.The shooter fled in a white VW Polo with the possible registration of JW06KM GP or JW06VW GP.
“It is uncertain how many occupants were in the vehicle in total,” added Magudulela.
The Kwa-Thema SAPS was called to the scene, and an investigation into the murder was opened.
The motive for the murder has not been established yet. The perpetrator took none of the deceased’s personal belongings during the incident.
The Kwa-Thema police urge anyone with information linked to the murder to step forward and furnish such to the SAPS.
