Skai Jackson is the latest child star stepping into a whole new level of adulthood. The former Disney actress is preparing to welcome her first child with her boyfriend. After months of speculation, she confirmed her pregnancy with a stunning maternity shoot.

The Shade Room first broke the news that Skai Jackson might be expecting after Backgrid photos showed her running errands in Los Angeles at the end of October. In several photos, Jackson seemingly attempted to conceal her baby bump with a flannel. However, the bump was BUMPIN’ enough for fans to speculate. Still, Skai Jackson let innanet users sit in curiosity and didn’t address the pregnancy talks.
Skai Jackson Is “Thrilled” About Becoming A Mommy
Now, in an interview with PEOPLE, Skai opened up about feeling “thrilled” for this next chapter, from motherhood to “new acting projects.” Her next feature film, ‘The Man in the White Van,’ will arrive in December.

Skai wasn’t the only mother looking fly in her pregnancy confirmation photos. The actress had her own mother, Kiya Cole, at her side for the public reveal. Jackson previously credited her mother, who raised her alone, for teaching her how to advocate for herself. Skai told PEOPLE in Feb. 2023 that her mom taught her how to fight for her belief and “what is right.”
“I thank her for that because without her, I probably wouldn’t have a lot of the confidence that I do now,” Skai Jackson said at the time.
She didn’t offer any additional commentary about her pregnancy with the outlet, including cravings and her due date. However, additional photos show Skai enjoying one of the pleasures of welcoming a little one: shopping for them!
Who Is Skai’s Boyfriend?
While we know that the mommy-to-be is a TV talent, ‘Jessie’ legend, and red carpet slayer, not much is known about the father-to-be. As mentioned, she didn’t share any details about him with PEOPLE.
However, back in August, a disagreement with him at
CityWalk in California ended with Skai Jackson sitting behind bars for a few hours. Cops were called on the 22-year-old and her man after she shoved him a lil’ bit while arguing. After surveillance footage confirmed the disagreement, police detained Skai. However, she seemingly tried to swerve the incident by telling the arresting officers that she was “happily engaged and expecting a baby.”
Well, her new baby bump photos confirm that she is truthful about the pregnancy. But it’s unclear if she is actually engaged to her boyfriend and how involved he will be with their little one. One upside? About a month after the CityWalk incident, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office dropped the misdemeanor charges against her.
