Tsakani – EMPD Bronberg Precinct officers recovered a reported stolen silver Isuzu bakkie in Tsakani Ext 6 on June 5.

EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said the police officers were patrolling at the time of the incident.

They came across the bakkie at the corner of Mokhantso and Gebuza streets.

“The idling abandoned Isuzu was tactically approached and officers noticed that the keys were hanging in the ignition.

“The bakkie was thoroughly checked and the results indicated that it was reported stolen, with a registered case number listed at the Groblersdal Police Station,” said Thepa.

Thepa further added that all the necessary stakeholders, including the SAPS Fingerprints Unit, were summoned and the recovered bakkie was later towed to Aeroton police yard for safekeeping.
