Tsakani – Miss Heart of Ekurhuleni is an annual empowerment pageant that seeks to uplift young girls in Ekurhuleni through education, leadership development, and mental health and wellness.

The pageant journey includes monthly tasks designed to inspire growth and community engagement. For October and November, the finalists received the task of giving back to their communities.

The Miss Heart of Ekurhuleni finalists and the Nobomi Foundation joined forces for a group community service day on November 2 at the Tholakele Centre of Hope in Tsakani.

“During our visit, we donated essential items such as food, toiletries, and clothing, which they welcomed.

“The team spent quality time with the children, playing indigenous games and soccer, fostering a sense of belonging and reminding them they matter.

“The day also aimed to inspire the finalists with a lasting spirit of kindness and giving, to teach them the importance of giving back to society and making a positive impact, especially to vulnerable children,” said pageant founder Gugu Mogare.

She added they invited companies willing to support their mission to make a difference by donating gifts.

“Together, we can make Christmas truly memorable for these children and help spread love and joy this season,” she added.
